Piper Doering, M.S. CCC-SLP

Speech language pathologist

I am originally from Lyons, Colorado, a tiny town where I began working with children as the town tennis coach, piano and trumpet teacher, and tutor. I later attended the University of Colorado and received my B.S. in Neuroscience as well as Speech Language and Hearing Sciences. I moved to Seattle in 2018 to pursue my M.S. in Medical Speech and Language Pathology. After graduating I worked at Rehab Without Walls with children who were more highly impacted by diagnoses, as well as Wonderland Child and Family Services, with children aged 0-3. Since beginning my work as a Speech and Language Pathologist I have strived to make my therapy engaging and child-focused while including the principles of first attachment theory and trauma-informed care. My goals in therapy include normalizing challenges that children may face, supporting the holistic development of every child, and having as much fun as possible.

Piper has clinical focus in the following areas: Dyslexia, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, voice disorders, speech sound production delays and disorders, receptive and expressive language delay/disorder, late talking, and parent coaching during speech therapy sessions.
