Natalie founded Swanson Speech Therapy in 2015 with the mission of providing high quality speech and language services in the Seattle community that prioritizes play, human connection, and meaningful communication no matter the modality. 

Natalie received her B.S. in communication disorders in 2008 and her master’s degree in speech and language pathology in 2010 from the University of Redlands. She is a member of the Washington State Speech and Hearing Association and is nationally credentialed through the American Speech and Hearing Association. In addition to holding memberships to national and statewide speech, language and hearing associations, Natalie is  PROMPT trained and a Hanen certified speech and language professional. Natalie has a wide range of clinical experience and her areas of expertise include, early language development, parent coaching, speech sound disorders and delays, childhood apraxia of speech, autism, and other developmental delays. Natalie takes pride in ensuring that family members are an integral part of each child’s speech and language team, and encourages parent involvement and feedback during the therapeutic process. She believes that the most effective speech and language therapy is therapy that is holistic and inclusive of each person important in the child’s life.

Natalie has a clinical focus in the following areas: Speech sound production delays and disorders, receptive and expressive language delay/disorder, social communication, late talking, parent coaching during speech therapy sessions, working with families with a recent autism diagnosis, and gestalt language processing.
